As a scientific trenchless construction technique, fiberglass pipe jacking is widely used in municipal pipelines, subways, utilities, and water and power applications due to its small footprint, environmental friendliness, and minimal disruption to road traffic and buildings. 1. The pipe jacking machine begins its journey from the launch well and advances toward the receiving well. The launch well is equipped with a backrest, machine head guide rails, a cylinder and cylinder frame, a pressure equalizing ring, a mud pump, the machine's power supply and hydraulic unit, and a control unit. The machine is located above ground and consists of a cutterhead, a transmission system, and a power supply system.

2. A laser theodolite is installed in the launch well. A light target is installed inside the machine, allowing for real-time monitoring of the machine's position from the ground control panel. The machine is controlled by a correction cylinder behind the cutterhead. Deflection is corrected in all four directions to ensure the machine advances along the designated axis. The pipe jacking machine relies on a motor to drive the cutterhead, which cuts the soil. The mud inlet and outlet system circulates the working mud and carries the debris out of the machine. When the tunnel face encounters rock, rollers on the cutterhead squeeze the rock. The crushed rock enters the secondary crushing chamber behind the cutterhead. Supported by the cutterhead and sheared by the cone plate, the crushed rock is sized to fit through the inlet holes in the crushing chamber. The rock then enters the crushing chamber and is carried out of the machine by the working mud.

3. The main jacking cylinder provides thrust to propel the pipe jacking machine forward. During long-distance jacking, if the main jacking cylinder's thrust is insufficient, a relay chamber is required to provide additional jacking force. Driven by the main jacking cylinder, the construction pipes are laid one by one until the pipe jacking machine successfully reaches the receiving well, completing the entire pipeline laying operation.
