Main steps of micro-pipe jacking:

Prepare the working well → Survey the route → Install the propulsion equipment → Push the pilot pipe → Remove and replace the inner pipe → Install the machine head → Pipeline jacking → Equipment removal

Process flow

1. Create a working well and a receiving well along the pipeline route;

2. Install the pipe jacking machine in the working well and waterproof it;

3. Use the pipe jacking machine to push the pilot pipe into the receiving well. The pilot pipe (100mm diameter, 1-1.5m length per section) has a guide arrow (with an internal guide indicator) at the front end of each section. During the jacking process, use a theodolite to observe the guide arrow indicator. The FRP pipe manufacturer adjusts the direction by rotating the guide pipe arrow according to the position of the indicator. Each section is pushed in and then installed, continuing until the receiving well is reached;

4. Connect the pipe to the mud outlet pipe with an adapter. Then, push the mud outlet pipe (210mm diameter, 1-1.5m length per section) forward, adding one section at a time while simultaneously removing the pilot pipe. Repeat this process until the pilot pipe is completely replaced.

5. Push the excavation auger (1-1.5m length per section) into the mud outlet pipe, adding one section at a time until it reaches the receiving well.

6. Install the machine head on the mud outlet pipe and connect the excavation auger. The machine head drives the excavation auger. The machine head is powered by a surface hydraulic station and connected to the hydraulic oil line, mud dilution water line, and lubricant pipe.

7. Install the pipe behind the machine head and push it forward with a pipe jacking machine, adding one section at a time while removing the mud outlet pipe and excavation auger. If the jacking pressure is too high during the jacking process, the excavation screw will be started to output the soil to the receiving well while jacking. When the pipe reaches the receiving well, the machine head will be lifted from the receiving well and the pipeline will be formed.
